How to Add Your Rental Property

Step-by-step guide to adding your rental property to RentWize so you can start tracking your tenancy.

How to Add Your Rental Property

Adding your property is the first step in using RentWize. Once your property is added, you can log maintenance requests, track rent increases, upload evidence, and access your tenancy documents — all in one place.

Before You Start

Have the following handy:

  • Your full rental address (unit number, street, suburb, state, postcode)
  • Your lease start date
  • Your landlord's or property manager's contact details
  • Your weekly or monthly rent amount

Steps to Add a Property

  1. Open the RentWize app or web platform and sign in
  2. From the dashboard, tap or click My Properties
  3. Tap Add Property (top-right corner)
  4. Enter your property address and select your state — this determines which tenancy laws apply
  5. Enter your lease details: start date, rent amount, and whether you're on a fixed-term or periodic lease
  6. Optionally add your landlord's or agent's name, email, and phone number
  7. Tap Save Property

Your property will now appear on your dashboard.

Multiple Properties

If you're renting more than one property (for example, a room share situation), you can add additional properties from the same screen. Free and Plus plan users can manage one active property. Pro users can manage two.

Editing Property Details

To update your property information — for example, after a rent increase or renewal — tap the property card and select Edit. You can update the rent amount, lease end date, and contact details at any time.

Removing a Property

If you've moved out, you can archive your property rather than delete it. Archived properties still appear in your history. To archive, go to property settings and tap Archive Property.

Need to add your bond details? You can do that from the property page under Bond & Disputes.
