RentWize guide
Cancelling or Deleting Your Account
Find out how to cancel your RentWize subscription or permanently delete your account and personal data.
Cancelling or Deleting Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. Here's everything you need to know about cancelling your subscription or permanently deleting your account.
Cancelling Your Pro Subscription
Cancelling your subscription stops future billing but keeps your account and data intact. Your Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period.
To cancel:
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Tap Cancel Subscription
- Select a reason (optional — this helps us improve)
- Confirm the cancellation
After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free plan at the end of the billing period. You won't be charged again unless you resubscribe.
Reactivating Pro
Changed your mind? You can reactivate Pro at any time from Settings → Subscription → Upgrade to Pro. All your data is preserved.
Deleting Your Account
Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data, documents, and evidence from RentWize. This action cannot be undone.
Before deleting, we recommend:
- Downloading your tribunal bundles and reviewed drafts
- Saving any photos or evidence you want to keep
- Downloading your billing receipts from Billing History
To delete your account:
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Read the warning carefully
- Enter your password to confirm
- Tap Permanently Delete Account
Your account and associated data will be deleted within 30 days, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Australian data retention requirements.
Data Retention After Deletion
Certain data may be retained beyond 30 days where legally required (for example, billing records for tax purposes, or tribunal-related documents held for 7 years under Australian law). See Your Data & Privacy for full details.
Requesting Your Data First
Before deleting, you can request a full export of your data. See Requesting Your Data (DSAR) for instructions.
If you're deleting because of a specific problem, we'd love to help fix it first — contact support before you go.
